Dear March

This morning it seemed like Christmas! You, Miss March, had covered the ground with snow and ice-frosted the trees! Memories of Thanksgiving and Christmas flashed thru my mind -- family, laughter, warmth, joy, aroma of turkey roasting and the taste of caramel and honey candies. That wisp of memory! Tomorrow your white wonderland will fade and whimper away with melted tears and Ill be glad. You were teasing us again..
Bring on your warmer side. We're ready for spring. Refresh the earth. The shy tulip bulbs peaking out yesterday, hesitant, will burst thru the ground; trees will bloom and the sweet smell of blossoms will fill the air. Earth will rejoice. See Persephone and her mother embrace? Spring will warm the earth; young lovers will kiss; the old couple will walk hand in hand unafraid of slippry sidewalks and the children will run and shout! Away with the snow, Miss March. We are ready for robins.

Oh I remember getting snow when I least wanted it. How great you are with words!
You should come to TUCSON because this week is going to be in the high 70's!

I love reading this - This is where your girls get their gift of great writing, from their very talented Mother!

What a beautiful expression in words. I have only been able to experience a handful of springs like you are waiting for, and truly miss that annual celebration!

Thanks for sharing this!
